In an oddball way, college football, bass fishing and a boat show can go hand-in-hand.
At least it did this past week in a unique twist in terms of a vacation.
The week started with the Inta Juice All-Star Classic at Galena Park in Houston where Darren McCaleb, the former D’Iberville and Southern Miss kicker, put his left leg on display before NFL scouts.
After every practice, we talked about catching speckled trout and cobia while telling players from New Mexico and Boise State about South Mississippi. To me, it was sad talking with these guys and they had no idea that Biloxi was up and running following Hurricane Katrina. Read more
